Inhabiting Ancient Empire

Chapter 2: Captive Labor

This series takes you through the lives of various people in the first century CE, in different places around the Mediterranean. These are ordinary people: not senators and philosophers, but the ordinary men, women, and children who made up most of the population.

The second chapter puts you behind the eyes of Zopyra, an enslaved woman who works in a small tavern within the Roman-controlled city of Corinth.
